Which to me, seems like it means that when you’re watching a french translation of say, Dirty Harry, you’re not actually seeing what Dirty Harry would sound like if he was french. You’re seeing the english speaking Dirty Harry using french words.

I would love for the french dubbed version of Pulp Fiction to go like, "Heille, de quoi y’a d’l'air Marcel Ouellette? Y’a tu d’l'air d’une noune? Ben comment s’fait d’abord t’essaye de l’fourrer comme une noune"
